The weather forecast was predicting sunny weather for the bank holiday weekend, so we decided to take a trip down to the coast. Matthew had already checked the tide-times for Deal in Kent and they were perfect. High tide at 3:30pm meant we could all have a leisurely drive down to seaside for a spot of late afternoon pier fishing.
It was very sunny but also extremely winding on the pier and Vicky and I spent most of the afternoon huddled together to keep warm.
Nevertheless, both Matthew and Callum had a fantastic afternoon sea fishing (they dont feel the cold like we do) and although we dint catch anything we could take home for supper, both of them did manage to bag their first ever dog fish each.
As the sun went down on a lovely afternoon/evening we ventured off to one of the local sea-fish restaurants Hythe Bay
